Upcoming Events
Middle School Monster Mash
Oct 23, 6:30-8:30pm
There will be pizza, treats, games, prizes, costume contest, photobooth and DJ! Come dressed in your best costume, but leave your full face masks, weapons, and inappropriate costumes at home.
All middle school students attending will need a permission slip signed by their guardian, linked HERE
PRINCIPAL KARREL IS REQUESTING MORE CHAPERONES TO MAKE THIS A SUCCESS! If your kid doesn't want you there, just come in costume ;) In order to pull something of this size off, we need all hands on deck. Please take a look at the signup and see if you can join for an hour or two.
For student privacy and enjoyment, we highly suggest this event be cellphone free. If a student does bring a phone, they will be encouraged to place them in the lock boxes until the end of the event. Students should arrange a pick up/departure plan with their guardians ahead of time. FOA has hired a professional photo booth to memorialize the moments!
Brought to you at no cost by Friends of Alcott. Email shannon.naumann@gmail.com with questions!

Community Outreach
Over the holidays, dozens of necessary household items including beds, kitchenware and toiletries were distributed to several families in need. They were overcome with emotion at your generosity and we want to thank you from the bottom of our hearts! We will be on the lookout for anything else they may need as they get settled in Chicago and will reach out again when they could use our help.
